Goals of the Week – 26th August 2013

It’s that time of the week again, we’re busy little bees and you like goals more than you like us droning on and on and on and on, so here’s the goals!

Ko Myong-Jin

From the K League, Ko, playing for FC Seoul against Daejeon Citizen, thumped it :

Arjen Robben

Playing for Bayern Munich against Nürnberg, cuts inside and for once doesn’t shoot. No, don’t be silly, he didn’t pass – he doesn’t need to.

Napoli notched up a routine win against Bologna, Marek Hamšík stumbling this in, the pick of the goals.

Kevin Volland’s lobbed goal wasn’t even the craziest moment in the Hoffenheim v SC Freiburg game which finished 3-3 with three sent off!

Daniel Sturridge continued his excellent start to this season with this goal against Villa winning the match for Liverpool.

I was surprised to learn that World Cup and Euros winner, Juventus legend and all-round top bloke Trezeguet is only 35 and on loan at Newell’s Old Boys from River Plate. He’s still knocking them in too. In the video below, mere mortal strikers would have taken another touch – there was certainly time to do so but Trezeguet doesn’t need one.

Barry Nicholson

Nicholson’s goal for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership is our goal of the week, look at this volley!
