Preview: Arsenal vs Fulham – Prediction, Team News, Line-ups

Arsenal will look to maintain their strong position in the Premier League title race as they welcome Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.

The Gunners are sitting second in the table with 12 points behind leaders Liverpool, while Marco Silva’s side are occupying the eighth spot with 45 points.

Match Preview

Arsenal returned to winning ways against Chelsea before the international break after consecutive draws with Manchester United and PSV Eindhoven.

Mikel Arteta’s side were without their first-choice centre-forward, with Kai Havertz ruled out for the season with a hamstring injury.

However, deploying Mikel Merino as their makeshift striker did the trick for them as the Spaniard headed home a decisive 20th-minute goal.

Despite the win, Arsenal are left 12 points behind Liverpool, meaning their Premier League title race is almost over.

On the other hand, Fulham will enter Tuesday’s fixture on the back of a disappointing 3-0 FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace.

The Cottagers defeated Manchester United in the fifth round of the competition, but their cup journey came to an end on Saturday after a dominating display from Palace.

Fulham will now return their focus to the Premier League, where they have done impressively so far.

Their excellent victory over Tottenham Hotspur in their last league outing mean they are now just four points behind the top-four.

Team News

The Gunners will be missing Kai Havertz, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus due to long-term injury issues. However, in a positive Arsenal news, there is a strong chance Bukayo Saka could return to the bench for Tuesday’s fixture.

Meanwhile, Fulham will not be able to call upon the services of Kenny Tete, Harry Wilson and Reiss Nelson, as they are all confined to the infirmary.

Arsenal vs Fulham potential line-ups

Fulham: Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Lukic; Traore, Pereira, Iwobi; Muniz
