The highly anticipated Champions League final will take place on June 1 between 14-time European Cup winners Real Madrid and German giants Borussia Dortmund at the Wembley Stadium.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side triumphed over Bayern Munich in the final four, while BVB beat Paris Saint-Germain to book their place in the final.
Match Preview
Real Madrid have had an excellent 2023-24 season under Carlo Ancelotti, clinching the La Liga title and also triumphing in the Spanish Super Cup.
They are also one game away from winning the European Cup for a record 15th time.
Los Blancos faced a tough competition against Manchester City in the quarter-final but they held their nerve to beat the defending champions on penalties.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men also didn’t find things easier in the semi-final as Bayern Munich took the lead in the 68th minute of the second-leg after the first-leg ended 2-2.
However, a thrilling late comeback saw Joselu strike twice to pull off a stunning victory.
On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund downed Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 on aggregate in the last four.
Edin Terzic’s men produced a solid defensive display to contain the threat of Kylian Mbappe, Gonçalo Ramos and Ousmane Dembélé.
BVB’s chances in Europe looked slim when they landed the most difficult group featuring PSG, AC Milan and Newcastle United.
But the Germans topped their group after securing 11 points from their six matches.
They outclassed PSV Eindhoven in the Round of 16 before edging Atletico Madrid 5-4 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
Team News
Real Madrid will not be able to avail the services of David Alaba who is still recovering from his ACL injury. Aurelien Tchouameni will also be missing for the showpiece event due to his foot problem. Joselu was excellent in the semi-final but his heroics are unlikely to be enough to earn him a starting spot, as SportsView has suggested.
As for Dortmund, Ramy Bensebaini, Julien Duranville and Mateu Morey are in the infirmary and so they will not play a part in the Wembley encounter.

Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund prediction
Dortmund kept PSG at bay over two legs, but they also benefited from the Parisiens’ profligacy. Real are unlikely to make many mistakes in front of goal with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo leading their attack.
We don’t believe it will be a one-sided affair but Carlo Ancelotti’s side are expected to prevail in the end.
