The rising cost of attending Premier League matches has sparked intense debate, with many loyal fans fearing the inflation is pricing them out of the opportunity to support their favourite teams in person.
Unfortunately, not all clubs in England’s top flight have adjusted their season ticket prices according to the current inflation rate in the United Kingdom.
Last season’s runners-up, Arsenal, have inflated their season ticket prices by a staggering 10.2%, adding significant financial strain on their supporters.
However, while most Premier League clubs have implemented an increase on their cheapest season tickets, not all the teams will blow their fans out of the water.
We’ve compiled a list of five EPL clubs offering the cheapest season tickets.
#1 West Ham United
Following an underwhelming 2023/24 campaign and the departure of David Moyes, West Ham kick off a new era under ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Julen Lopetegui.
The Hammers’ 2024/25 Premier League fixture schedule gets underway with a home clash against Aston Villa on August 17, and fans will have to fork out as low as £345 to watch the Londoners on their home ground.
Offering the cheapest season tickets in the elite division despite an 11.3% increase is perhaps the club’s attempt to keep their supporters engaged in these tumultuous times.
#2 Ipswich Town
Ipswich fans had to wait two decades to see their team back in the Premier League and will be able to afford to watch the Blues at Portman Road for a meagre £372.
Keeping highly-rated manager Kieran McKenna in the dugout would likely bolster the club’s hopes of avoiding a swift return to the Championship after defying the odds to secure a second-place finish last term.
#3 Leicester City
After only one year in the second tier, the Foxes return to the grand stage but not under Enzo Maresca, who inspired them to a relatively straightforward Championship triumph in 2023/24.
It will be up to Steve Cooper to maintain the Italian’s legacy and keep the East Midlands faithful pleased, as they’ll need to pay £404 for the starting season ticket package.
#4 Brentford
Brentford avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, but the Bees look forward to the new campaign after confirming Thomas Frank as their manager.
Fans paying £495 to acquire the most affordable season package will hope for a less stressful campaign, with or without standout striker Ivan Toney.
#5 Southampton
Despite being one of only six Premier League clubs with prices under £500, Southampton (£479) have left their supporters in disbelief when they announced a substantial increase of 26.4%.
Like Leicester, the Saints have secured an immediate top-flight return, though they needed to navigate the dreaded play-offs to reclaim a spot at the top table.
